Social impact targets

  • Zero injuries
  • Attract and retain a diverse and competent workforce

Engaging with Communities

  • Local community engagement: Having a good relationship with our neighbors is key to achieving a successful project. The local communities have invaluable knowledge of the project sites' local geography, ecosystems and history. Thus, maintaining an open dialogue with the local stakeholders enables us to improve the projects design. This reduces the projects potential negative impacts, and may even lead to cost savings.
  • Health and Safety: At Cloudberry, health and safety is our top priority. We're constantly working with our business partners, suppliers and contractors, to ensure that it's safe to work on a Cloudberry project.

We work closely with local communities, ensuring that our projects contribute positively to their development and well-being. One of Cloudberry’s main competitive advantages is our local presence. We regularly visit the local communities, and we develop projects in close dialogue with local stakeholders. Through meaningful dialogue with local communities, we aim to secure broad-based support and foster collaboration. This is essential for collecting and analyzing the local stakeholders’ insights, worries and suggestions, which in turn enables the design of even better projects and ensures impactful initiatives to promote local value creation.

Our goal is to be a positive force on people and nature around all our projects. If you have concerns or suggestion on any of our projects, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Workers in the value chain

We prioritize health and safety across all operations, aiming for zero workplace injuries and maintaining robust protocols to protect our workforce and partners. In addition, we strive to avoid entering business relationships with irresponsible actors. Therefore we work systematically to prevent and detect adverse impacts on anyone who’s directly and indirectly involved with our value chain. Our initiatives span activities such as pre-screening of suppliers, placing requirements on our suppliers, supplier audits, safety inspections and operating a whistleblower channel.

Please read more about this in our 2024 annual report.

Cloudberry fully aligned with the Transparency Act

The development and production of renewable energy require exceptional individuals taking bold actions. We are driven by people and mutual trust and respect, both within our own business and throughout the supply chain. Adhering to laws and regulations is, of course, essential for us to achieve our goals. The Norwegian Transparency Act is a Norwegian law designed to promote transparency and responsible business conduct. We will publish our reporting on the Norwegian Transparency Act on this website no later than 30.06.2025.
