Cloudberry & Sveaskog: Joining Forces to Accelerate the Energy Transition
We are proud to announce a new partnership between Cloudberry Clean Energy and Sveaskog, Sweden’s—and even Europe’s—largest forest owner, to jointly develop the Älgfallet renewable energy park in Nora municipality.
Sveaskog is acquiring a minority stake in the Älgfallet project, becoming an active co-owner in the development. The planned energy park is expected to deliver up to 300 GWh of renewable energy annually. Together, we will create a state-of-the-art facility, starting with wind power and potentially expanding to solar and energy storage.
This project marks the beginning of a long-term partnership, with a shared ambition to explore similar opportunities in the future. Cloudberry and Sveaskog will work closely to develop renewable energy solutions—always with respect for nature, strong local engagement, and a focus on creating lasting value.
“A collaboration with such a large forest owner like Sveaskog is a unique opportunity to truly combine our strengths. We will ensure that the development is not only sustainable and responsible, but also delivers real value to the local community. Collaboration like this is key to accelerating the energy transition.” - Charlotte Bergqvist, Country Manager Sweden, Cloudberry
“This is spot on our strategy of connecting high-quality projects, committed landowners, and long-term capital. By joining forces with Sveaskog, we strengthen our position to deliver sustainable energy solutions and create shareholder value.” -Anders Lenborg, CEO, Cloudberry
“We are pleased to take this step of actively participating in a renewable energy project with Cloudberry, a reliable and long-term player in the energy sector.” -Erik Brandsma, CEO, Sveaskog
